Electro Acupuncture – is the stimulation of the acupuncture point via a mild electrical current. This pulse is likened to a gentle vibrating sensation and is used to strengthen the stimulation of the point and allow for greater muscle relaxation.
-
Laser Acupuncture - Sometimes traditional acupuncture is not appropriate for all patients or health concerns. Scott is able to also utilise laser acupuncture in cases where point activation with a needle may be particularly sensitive.

-
During a Shonishin treatment a range of different tools are used to gently tap, stroke, scrape and rub along the child’s skins surface to activate the various meridians and acupuncture points. This technique is best suited to children from birth to 12 or 13 years. Children tend to be particularly receptive to point stimulation meaning that treatments are often brief and health concerns tend to resolve quickly.
Where appropriate parents can be educated in basic technique so that with guidance home treatment can be continued b.etween sessions for optimal results.
-
Scott has also received further training in paediatric Tui Na which is the use of gentle massage techniques along meridians and acupuncture points.
-
As a father to young children himself Scott has a keen interest in children's preventative health care.
